We realize that the competition was so near, we must be hard at work. We prepare everything we need. Hope we will get the best in this competition.
Hard work and pray is the key of a success.

Roboboat Competition

Roboboat Competition

June 21, 2015 Posted by PENSHIP

The International RoboBoat Competition was first held in 2008. During the competition, student teams race autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) of their own design through an aquatic obstacle course. This includes littoral area navigation, channel following, and autonomous docking. The competition provides an opportunity for students to develop skills in system engineering by accomplishing realistic missions with autonomous vehicles in the maritime environment.

The RoboBoat Competition is an important key to keeping young engineers excited about careers in science, technology, engineering, and math and has been tremendously successful in recruiting students into the high-tech field of maritime robotics.

After we have done make the mold, now its time to coating the mold with fiber to make the mold is hard and isn't easily to cracked when the boat hit something. Also by coating the wooden mod with fiber, it's make the wood become waterproof, it's mean that the water will not seep the wood.

Hey.. Hey.. our wooden mold of our new boat has done.

This wooden mold has made from balsa wood. Balsa wood is lightweight wood, so although our new boat size is bigger than the last one, the weight of our new boat isn't as heavy as its size. Because of that our new boat will run fastly.
